It's not every day you see a man named Mahimananda Mishra receiving an award, but that's what happened Sunday in Odisha, India.
The Times of India reports that the 72-year-old founder of Orissa Stevedores was given the "Lifetime Achievement Award 2023" by the Utkal Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
According to a press release, the award is given "in recognition of the entrepreneurial vision and wisdom, determination as well as exemplary humanitarian gestures towards community development initiatives displayed by Shri Mahimananda Mishra."
Mahimananda founded the stevedore in the state in the 1960s and today it is one of the largest stevedore companies in India.
It's involved in a wide range of activities, including building tank terminals, pipeline laying operations, manufacturing of high-quality marine hoses, dock construction, and integrating marine domain activities under one umbrella.
