"It's a really great start and I want to see what happens in the future."
Those are the words of Alex Gauger, a museum educator in Tulsa, Okla., who came up with the idea for a series of American Sign Language tours at local museums, Fox 23 reports.
A Tulsa Young Professionals Foundation grant has paid for the tours, which will be led by professional Deaf educators.
"I wanted to get involved and make that happen," Gauger says.
The first tour took place Friday at Gilcrease Museum.
The next will be at 108 Contemporary: Live from the Moon on Sept.
22 at 6pm, the Philbrook Museum: Collection Highlights on Friday, Oct.
20, and the Woody Guthrie Center: Billie Holiday at Sugar Hill on Friday Dec.
