The deadline is approaching for the community grant from Truman Heartland Community Foundation and nonprofits that are located in or serve citizens of Eastern Jackson County are encouraged to apply.
Programs considered for funding must address one or more of the following issues: arts, culture and historic preservation, education, health, leadership development for youth and adults, programs for seniors, transportation, and violence prevention.

Foundation Provides Interest-free Loans to Start Up Social Enterprises
The Charities Aid Foundation has set up a scheme, called the Social Enterprise Assist, that will render interest-free loans of up to £10,000 each to help social enterprise start-ups.
