The Bill Gatton Foundation supports K-12 and higher education, health, and community development in Kentucky, Upper East Tennessee, and Southwest Virginia.
Large education grants include $13.5 million pledged to the University of Kentucky for a student center.
The foundation's health grants support "medical programs and treatments for causes that were close to Mr. Gatton's heart"

The Power of Being Unreasonable
Teju Ravilochan co-founded the Unreasonable Institute in 2009 to design an academy to tackle poverty, social justice, and educational voids. It’s a social-good school for traditional and nonprofit companies to learn how to speed-up, find partners, and help fund their world-changing ideas.
