Elise May, a former HEARTS Board Member, is an independentTeaching Artist/Arts Administrator, educator, actor, singer, and writer.
She works with actors, school districts, libraries, and corporations on communication skills, community development, and the development of theater arts programs.
She has performed and taught domestically and internationally.
May will be honored at HEARts Annual Red Party at the PolishAmerican Hall in Port Washington, New York, on February 7, 2025.

Bixi Bikes – A Lesson for Social Enterprises
John Brothers, Principal of Quidoo Consulting, writes about the Montreal-based company Bixi who are mostly known for its Bixi Bikes. Just recently, Bixi filed for bankruptcy protection. The reason? Bixi is in major financial distress and its bikes have proven to be too “expensive to build, operate and maintain”.
