Arthur Eze: His Business Legacies, Philanthropy, Lifestyle

When it comes to Africa's richest, it's a safe bet that Nigeria's Prince Arthur Eze is at the top of the list.

The Ozoigbondu of Igboland, as he's known, is the founder and CEO of Atlas Oranto Petroleum, which has oil and gas licenses in 12 countries across the continent, Business Insider reports.

He's also "one of the wealthiest men in Africa," according to Forbes, which calls him "one of the last man standing in the competitive Nigerian private sector."

Eze made his money "the old-fashioned waythrough hard work, discipline, and integrity, the major principles of wealth creation, the major of wealth creation being recognition of his economic and international contributions to the growth of Nigeria and the image of Igboland," according to a profile in the Guardian.

He's given millions to various causes, including building a medical research unit at Nigeria's Nnamdi Azikiwe University and putting up a pedestrian bridge in one state.
