There's painting, there's drawing, and then there's this story out of Jamshedpur, India.
Students from 23 schools took part in " ARTWAVE 2024," an inter-school art competition held in July, the Times of India reports.
The goal was "to celebrate the creative talents of our city's young artists," says a press release from the event's host school, Hill Top School.
Students competed in nine different events, including "Pencil Shading," " Vivid Vessel," " Prismatic Perspectives," " Mural Marvels," " Masked Masterpiece," and " Vibrant Veils."
Vivek Chinmaya of Hill Top School took home the top prize, while Vidya Bharati Chinmaya of Vidya Bharati Chinmaya took the runner-up spot.
"These events were judged by six renowned artists from the city: Vijay Varan Sahu, Sujata Roy, Vijay Varan Sahu, Subodh Pandey, Nagesh Choudhury, and Sujata Roy," says the press release.
"The event was a grand success, highlighting the extraordinary talents of young artists and reinforcing the importance of art in education and community building."
