As the name suggests, the foundation is named after McKean County, Pa., where it was founded in the late 1800s, the Daily Collegian reports.
The foundation's mission is "to build a strong foundation by helping individuals and corporations fulfill their philanthropic goals through the creation of permanent funds to perpetually benefit the charitable organizations or causes they care about in McKean County."
