Gavin Newsom has filled a number of key posts in his first 100 days, including the head of the state's Department of Resources, Recycling, and Recovery.
Zoe Heller, who has served as deputy director of the Division of Circular Economy at the state's Department of Resources, Recycling, and Recovery since 2023, has been confirmed by the state Senate for the post, which requires Senate confirmation and a salary of $205,734, the Sacramento Bee reports.
She is a Democrat.

Justin Ong has been appointed technical advisor II at the California Public Utilities Commission.
John Yarbrough has been appointed deputy director of the State Water Project at the California Department of Water Resources.
