Abad, who has worked in nonprofit and government for more than 25 years, is also a "major leader, powerful speaker, and thought leader in the housing space," per Crain's New York Business.
Abad was also named one of Crain's New York Business' Notable Hispanic Leaders 2022 and 914Inc's "The Face of Affordable Housing and Home 2022."
