Dallas County Foundation has recently awarded grants to 18 area nonprofit groups totaling $86,900.
Grant recipients include: Dallas Center Parks and Recreation with $5,000 to purchase handicapped accessible playground equipment; Brenton Arboretum in Dallas Center got $2,800 to buy a portable microphone and lectern; Granger Parks and Recreation received $2,000 for ballpark improvements and any others.
