About Us
Approximately 3 million dollars in grants have been approved for 8 projects throughout the state of Vermont for providing service to lower income areas and households. These services range from the creation of affordable housing to the decontamination of development sites as well as addressing the infrastructure problems systematic of many of the locales. Support for the money came from Vermont's own Congressmen Patrick Leahy and Peter Welch as well as Senator Bernie Sanders.
The intent is to provide opportunities for Vermonters, which will openly lead to a transformed community. The following is a list of seven towns receiving funding: Bennington, Hancock, Hardwick, Montpelier, Richmond, and Rutland. A final project is being done on the Waitsfield Village Meeting House which particularly needs flood proofing as well as accessibility improvements.
